Applying Biblical principles produces blessings. There is no such thing as blessing without obedience. This means God always gets all the glory, because all we did was obey the command. He is the One smart enough to come up with all the commands and principles that work in a positive way! The instructions He gave us never fail:) Praise God! Need to succeed in an area? Try finding a Biblical principle to apply to it!!

James 1:25 (English Standard Version)

"25But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing."

Staying in the Word and walking with God is the greatest comfort a person could ever know.

Joshua 1:8-9 (English Standard Version)

"8This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

We are commanded to rejoice in the Lord always. Not in our circumstances, because sometimes they can be discouraging. Our reason to rejoice is in the Lord. He offers us purpose, hope, peace that passes human understanding, joy, love, and not to mention eternal life. Today, if you can't rejoice in your circumstances, remember, you can still rejoice in the Lord!

Philippians 4:4 (English Standard Version)

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.

Sometimes we ask ourselves "how am I ever going to live the Christian life and live it well?" Although it is our responsibility to walk by faith and live in obedience, the work that Christ began in us at salvation is not our work, it is His! If you are backslidden today & feel far away from God, let me encourage you....it is His work at work inside of you! God is more than capable of turning your story to reflect His glory. If you find yourself standing tall right now, remember it is only by the grace of God that we can stand tall! We have not right to brag on our methods or our strength, or our abilities. It is only by God's grace that we can stand tall. Praise God He is working in the life of every believer! We can trust Him to do a great job!

Philippians 1:6 (Amplified Bible)

6And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He Who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ [right up to the time of His return], developing [that good work] and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.

The worst thing about sin is that it tends to get us to run from a loving God. We all sin (Romans 3:23). We must make sure our sin doesn't cause us to stop seeking God. Backslidding doesn't happen when we sin, it happens when we quit seeking God. Don't let your sin stand between you and God! It's been paid for already! (Romans 5:8, 1 John 1:9)

Genesis 3:8 (English Standard Version)

And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.
